About Us – The Blog Creators

Hello again and welcome to our humble blog! We are very happy to be able to give you this mini travel blog discussing the interesting sites that London has to offer. By now, you probably know what we were going for with this blog, but we thought it would be nice to give you some more background about the blog and about us as well.

This is why we decided to write this article to discuss all these things with you. We will talk about the blog and its purpose, as well as how we came to create it in the first place.

The Blog Creators

Let’s start off by saying that we all live in London and we absolutely love the city life. Some of us are London natives, while others came here to study and decided to remain in, arguably, the best capital city of Europe. We all met at work and we soon began bonding after countless “team building” exercises in local pubs; you know, the classic story.

Why We Created the Blog

What we noticed is that those of us who were not from London hadn’t exactly thoroughly explored the London that us Londoners have. It’s not unusual for people who moved to London or those who visit the city to stay close to the main attractions and to maybe go to a pub or two close to their flat or hotel.

Those of us from London think that this is sad, because the city has so much to offer, but not that many people know how to access this so-called hidden London. We made it our life mission to change it. We started off by showing our non-native co-workers some of the weird museums and buildings that usually evade even the hardcore tourist.

What happened is that those of us not from London thought that everyone should know about these sites, so we proposed to create a travel blog detailing these curious places, many of which remain under the radar.

Our blog will thus feature lesser-known sites in London like museums, houses, pubs, and everything in between that we feel represents “the real London”, outside the popular tourist traps. On this website, you can find detailed descriptions of these sites and what you can expect when you get there.

We hope our blog helps tourists explore the city, because sometimes you just need a local guide to be able to see the whole beauty of a place. At the same time though, it’s not just tourists who don’t know about these sites; in fact, many of us didn’t know even half of these places before we started this journey.

Thus, this blog can also show a different side of London to those who live here, but are unaware of the amazing places that are under their nose.
